It's been a little bit since my last post. That's because I've been too busy playing with my new gun. (Yes, I know guns aren't toys, shut it)
Picked myself up a new Glock 19 MOS with a Holosun SCS-MOS reflex optic. Holy sh*t I love this thing.
The gun itself shoots and feels just like my Glock 17. For good reason. It is basically the same gun just smaller. I wanted to get it out to the range a few times before I posted because I've never shot with a red-dot sight (or green in this case). Didn't want to embarrass myself or anything by posting bad target pics.
In truth, I didn't have to worry. I shoot really well with it. Here's my target from my first outing with it the day after I got it. Clearly, i have it sighted in pretty well. A couple stragglers but all-in-all I had a great time.
Flash forward to the next weekend and I feel like I'm really falling in love with this gun. Opted for the silhouettes this time and shot from 5 yards at first and then slowly moved back as I was shotting.
At a personal defense distance, my shots are tight. As I was moving the target back (image on the right) my shots started spreading. The center-mass shots are roughly 7.5 yards, the head is 10 and the one little shot in the upper left corner is 20. I definitely need to work more on my distance shooting.
I've been loving my to Glocks and I'm quickly becoming a Glock fanboy. Tomorrow is Saturday, so you know what that means, range time. I'll keep you posted.
