I finished the month strong and finished five books. For my 2024 reading challenge, we've finished 10 of the 25 books that I want to read this year. We already talked about some of them so let’s get into the final two for the month.
Quick point, I'm very quickly starting to love reading and am starting to read multiple books at the same time. Getting lost in the worlds and characters is a feeling like no other.
Here are the final two finishes for April.
A Frost of Death and Deceit follows the continued story of Gregor in is quest to discover who he is and who killed him. In this installment we are introduced to his first elf, or gnome in this case.
This dark reimagining of the Santa Clause story is full of demons and action. A quick read that anyone can finish in a couple hours.
This is book two in the story of Gregor, and I hope that there will be a third. I can't wait to continue Gregor's journey.
Never Die... I don't even know what to say about this one. It had everything, Action, adventure, a journey, demons, martial arts, you name it. It was so good. Rob Hayes knows what he's doing.
The story begins with the death of a fierce warrior, a great way to start off. You are then introduced to Ein, on a quest to kill the emperor and in order to complete his quest he has been given the gift to bring dead heroes back to life. Hence the death in the beginning.
The journey is all about Ein and his growing crew of heroes on their way to complete Ein's quest.
Some sneaky twist pop up at the end that really were just great. (That's all, I'm not spoiling anything)
READ IT! That's all I can say, it's that good.
I've still got a lot more on my TBR so stay tuned. Right now I'm tackling Fairy Tale by Stephen King (my in nighttime Kindle read) and Zoey Is Too Drunk for This Dystopia by Jason Pargin, the third book in the Zoey Ashe series.
